PINNACLE ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES GENERAL CONTRACTOR FOR $16 MILLION
ALL-SUITE HOTEL RENOVATION IN DOWNTOWN ST. LOUIS
The Suites at Lumière Place to Reopen as Part of Lumière Place District
LAS VEGAS, May 29, 2007 – Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: PNK), announced today the selection of
Legacy Building Group as the general contractor for the renovation of the former Embassy Suites Hotel at
Lumière Place. The $16 million project includes the refurbishment of the nearly 300 guest suites and atrium
lobby, and a new porte cochere. It is expected to be complete in the fourth quarter of 2007.
“We selected Legacy Building Group because of their high standards, ability and commitment to quality work in
St. Louis,” said Daniel R. Lee, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pinnacle Entertainment. “Their team
will be an integral part in giving this property a contemporary ambiance, inside and out. We believe this hotel,
along with the luxury property we are building across Second Street in Lumière Place, will be among the best in
St. Louis. They will give downtown St. Louis two exciting hotel options to draw conventions, tourists, families
and gaming enthusiasts.”
The property temporarily closed for the initial construction work last month. It is expected to reopen in late
2007 as The Suites at Lumière Place.
“Legacy has impressive credentials including extensive renovation work on multiple projects,” said Todd
George, Vice President and General Manager of Lumière Place. “We are confident that Legacy is a great fit to
work with Pinnacle on this high-profile project for St. Louis.”
Todd Weaver, President of Legacy Building Group, said, “Pinnacle is making a significant investment in St.
Louis and we are honored to be a part of that excitement. This will be the first significant renovation work on
the hotel property since it was built more than 20 years ago, and we are up to the challenge.”
A sky bridge will link the renovated property to the second floor of Lumière Place, just above the casino floor.
