LUMIÈRE PLACE UNVEILS A TASTE OF TUSCANY WITH HOUSE OF SAVOY
Executive Chef Robert Flowers Mixes Old-World Charm, Fresh Ingredients for Winning St. Louis Flavor
ST. LOUIS, MO., March 25, 2008 – Lumière Place, Pinnacle Entertainment Inc.’s (NYSE: PNK) new $507 million luxury entertainment complex in downtown St. Louis, today announced the opening of its seventh restaurant, House of Savoy. This Tuscan-style restaurant pairs generous portions of authentic Italian cuisine with a modern atmosphere. House of Savoy offers rich and hearty pastas, savory sauces, fresh salads and grilled Italian favorites to complement them.
“The addition of House of Savoy gives Lumière Place seven distinct dining options at one location,” said Todd George, Lumière Place Vice President and General Manager. “In a town that is known for its Italian restaurants, House of Savoy’s cuisine will quickly make it a favorite restaurant in St. Louis.”
The diverse menu was developed by Lumière Place Executive Chef Robert Flowers. Chef Flowers joined Lumière Place last fall from the Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, where he was an Executive Chef. The House of Savoy menu includes traditional favorites like pizzas, basked lasagna, chicken parmesan and toasted ravioli, while mixing in surprise dishes like seafood risotto, wild mushroom ravioli and pork chop milanese.
“We want our guests to have world-class cuisine in St. Louis, made from the freshest ingredients,” Chef Flowers said. “We’re putting our unique twist on these dishes to make them even better than you remember. Our presentations will be simple and elegant, letting the food speak for itself.”
The restaurant’s name comes from the historic Savoy region in France. For more than 900 years beginning in 1003 A.D. the House grew as rulers acquired territory in what is now Switzerland, eventually ruling almost all of the Italian Peninsula.
The new House of Savoy is located in downtown St. Louis in the newly renovated, all-suite HoteLumière. The hotel offers 294 completely remodeled suites, a redesigned atrium and new lobby bar, Cascade, which is adjacent to the atrium’s elegant waterfall. HoteLumière is connected to Lumière Place via a skywalk on the fourth floor.
In addition to the imaginative Italian cuisine, House of Savoy offers an extensive wine list and a full bar complete with three flat-panel TVs. House of Savoy is open Sunday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 5 p.m. to midnight. Beginning April 14, House of Savoy will be open daily for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The restaurant will also provide an extensive room service menu for HoteLumière.
